The Apostle Paul described God as “the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort” (2 Corinthians 1:3), and he commanded the church to express this kind of compassion too.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God. For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.”
(2 Corinthians 1:3-5)

TMC's Pastoral Care Ministry responds to this Biblical directive by equipping the Body of Christ to minister to one another. The increase of spiritual challenges and emotional traumas in today’s culture have created a great need for trained Christians to assist in pastoral situations.
