What do we believe?

Our Teachings

  • Every person has worth as a creation of God, but that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23)
  • Forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life are available to those who trust Christ as Savior and Lord. Those accepting Christ should repent of sin, confess their faith, and be baptized into Him. (John 3:16; Romans 10:9; Acts 2:38)
  • The church is the body of Christ on earth, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and it exists to evangelize the lost and edify the saved. (Ephesians 4:1-16)
  • Jesus Christ will one day return and reign forever as King of kings and Lord of lords. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

We Are A Christian Church

Our Beliefs

  • to call ourselves Christians. (Act 11:26)
  • to use the Bible as our ultimate authority. (II Timothy 3:16-17)
  • to center our preaching around Christ. (Acts 5:42; Romans 16:25; I Corinthians 15:1-11)
  • to share our faith with those who don’t know Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19)
  • to help people grow in their faith. (Matthew 28:20)
  • to give priority to weekly worship, including communion and believer baptism. We are a church free of hierarchical structures. Every member is a “minister”. Everyone is encouraged to be involved and to serve within the various ministries of the congregation. (Ephesians 4:11-16)

We are not a perfect church.

We are not perfect people.

We are sinners saved by grace doing the best we can, with God’s help, to be the type of followers God wants us to be.
